A whole spiel is that you can develop.

You can freaking build apps.

Yeah.

Well.

Open source can mean anything. It's just the whole point of there is an SDK that you can build.

Sorry?

Everything is open source.

We're like $50 cheaper.

Oh, this isn't even funny anymore. Sukuna has revealed himself in our world. Yuji is on his way here. We are so cooked.

Come to find out, he ate his twin in the womb, her man, when he was a baby, ate his twin in the womb, so he possesses some of his twin's DNA.

So his twin is biologically the father. His dead twin that he ate in the womb.

Oh, this is real-life scary. It's happening exactly like it happened in the manga. First, the new Six Eyes user was born, a baby that looks exactly like Satoru Gojo, blue eyes, snow white hair, all that. Then the Ten Shadows user appears, and look at this, already working on summoning Mahoraki. This baby is years ahead of Megumin. Look at that! And now we have the account of a man whose baby isn't biologically—

Feather.

Discussion about residency possibilities in Commonwealth countries as a Canadian and observations about living conditions in those countries.

I'd like to go there sometime. It seems kind of cool.

I do.

When I was a kid, I really wanted to like live in Australia.

Mm-hmm.

For some reason, I don't know.

Because like Australia, I feel like it's really.

It's kind of like the US, but like.

Very far from North America, you know?

Yeah.

It's really similar.

Oh, yeah.

But Cody and I were, were talking about this the other day. He's like.

It's kind of a disappointing place to go to because like for the distance that it is, you would.

You'd want to go to a place that's like very different and like culturally interesting.

Like you're traveling that far, you can go to like Geisha or something, but like Australia is just like a.

It's just here, but like slightly better.

In most ways.

And the currencies weaker, so.

Yeah, but the currency—yeah, I mean the currency is weaker and like okay, sure, it might not be the best place to like have a career but it's just kind of like.

It's the best place to retire.

Yeah, it's just kind of like here.

And it's like culturally like this almost the same thing as here.

Except like.

People are nicer and it's safer and it's chiller and the infrastructure is better.

So did I tell you I can live in Australia by the way?

Really?

Yeah.

Because I'm Canadian.

Oh, we're getting there.

Yeah, yeah, I told you. I think I—I think it was Roger or I don't know.

I can live in the UK.

You told me this, but I totally like digesting the.

Yeah, it's, uh, it's something called the Commonwealth thing, but I can live in the UK.

Like fully live, like just buy a house and live my, you know.

Okay.

I could maybe South Africa as well. I—are they still calling it?

South Africa seems like a.

That's like a dangerous place, I think.

It is. There's a lot of segregation, but.

Discussion about contributing to a group and achieving success and wealth, with a focus on New Zealand.
Speakers: Unknown

So.

Neo is—it's, it's funny.

I, I was talking about that, that very much naughty friend.

Yeah.

Recently, and she was saying that.

She was—she was looking into, like.

Selling a product at some point. Like, starting, starting a small business, making a product, selling it, type of thing.

Yeah.

And.

I was telling her like, "Dude, you're dumping everything in ChatGPT.

Have it do all the research, all the competitors. Like. Yeah. You

You can—you can show them the list through this stuff. This is—this is crazy.

And, and her thought on it is she's—

But apparently, this is like not uncommon thing. She's scared to.

Use AI.

Like, like she's scared of it.

As in like, it, it's gonna take control?

Yeah, she's like—she's like scared, but it's—

Scared that it will steal her idea, and scared that, like, she'll become dependent on it, and scared that it will, like, take over.

Caitlin, the dependent part was me.

Yeah.

Okay?

I'm still scared, okay? Like, I, I still have self-control as to like, "Hey, ChatGPT, do, do all my shit," you know what I mean?

Yeah.

Um.

That part I understand, but like, the part where like, it might steal your idea, that's kind of.

It's also—it's just like fear of unknown and seeing all sorts of like scary news articles about how like Sam Altman is gonna like, uh, take your retinal scan and your identity and then like do weird shit with it.

I mean, honestly, like, again.

I'm all about that.

Destruction of the world, you know?

Yeah.

By robots.

Yeah.

But like.

I don't think we're at the Matrix phase where, you know, we're all like in a gobbledygook.

Hooked up to wires and, you know.

AI is controlling us. I don't think we're there yet, but.

That's not good.

Not yet.

Okay.

But we already contributors, of course.

We are going to make that happen.

Yeah.

Well, yeah, that's why you gotta like make a lot of wealth now.

Exactly.

Like during New Zealand.

Exactly.

To not become part of the hoop.

The group. You'll, you'll become the. You

'll become a millionaire. Multi-millionaire, at least $3 million.

In the next 10 years.

In the virtual New Zealand, you will become part of the group.

You're like New Zealand, eh?

No, just like trying to like—it's like a first world country, but it's like also an island.

Oh, yeah, true, true, true. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

It's like.

It's small but also good.

Yeah.

Yeah.

I'm here scrolling in X, right?

I'm saying, how technology is advancing so fast.

Yeah.

Right?

Yeah.

And then, and then, freaking the rest of the, you know. Cities and countries, they'

Cities and countries, they're like.

Like, they, they don't know what's coming. Let's just say that.

Yeah.

Um.

'Cause right now.

The problem is, it's like.

Like, right now, people are still adjusting with AI.

And they have no clue what the fuck is gonna come.

Yeah.

You know?

With, like, all this Neo—like, Neo? Bro, it hasn't even hit my hometown yet.

What Neo is.

The robot.

The robot.

Yeah.

Right?

And there's a lot of controversy.

It's like revolving Neo and SF.

Right?

Why?

Just like.

I don't like what you're talking about.

You don't know what I'm talking about?

I don't know the controversy.

Controversy is like.

Like, blue-collar jobs are just—

They're starting to be taken over.

And also just like somebody who's literally—

Like, controlling the robot, not even fully autonomous—what do you call that? A fully—

I guess, you know, like a robot, you know?

Yeah.

Um.

There's just a bunch of others, like.

If you go on X, search Neo, like, everybody's just making fun of Neo.

Um, somebody just said.

"Which one's the robot? The CEO or the, the actual robot?"

Um, the, the CEO kind of looks a bit—

Uh.

Like a Zucky, you know, like an early Zuckerberg kind of guy.

Yeah. Yeah.

Um.

But yeah, I mean, that's not really a controversy, but like, overall, like, taking jobs or like blue-collar jobs are starting to take blue-collar jobs, right? They're just like.

"Wow, we are getting a robot that looks human, acts human.

And also it can do human stuff," right? It's just a matter of time now.

Um, as Isaiah said.

What do you call it? The ladder pole?

Ladder pole?

Yeah, the ladder pole, right? Ye

ah. We

are. Starting to, uh, get into that. But

Starting to, uh, get into that. But we've already started, but.

Yeah.

It might be.

Um.

But yeah, like, I told—like, I just called my parents, uh, today.

But yeah, like, I told—like, I just called my parents, uh, today.

Told them about Neo, and then they're like, "Holy shit.

They're scared, excited, but mostly scared, you know?" They're like, "This is crazy, batshit crazy."

Yeah.

Um.

But yeah, I mean.

My friends don't know what Neo—Neo is.

Yeah.

Um.

Discussion about Caitlin's demos at xAI and their engineers' excitement about the technology, with a possibility of collaboration in the future.

How about, uh.

Can you talk about, uh, xAI?

Yeah, did he tell you about that?

No.

Oh, yeah.

Um.

So the guy in xAI, one of the co-founders, basically just went to talk, um.

They spoke for many, many hours. I was checking my phone while that conversation was going on.

And I knew, like, Caitlin had left a few hours before, and I hadn't gotten a text back, and I was grinning a little bit, like.

This is a long conversation, long conversations are good.

Yes.

Um.

Anyway, they had no immediate asks, um, but they think it's ludicrously cool, apparently. There's a bunch of xAI.

Execs and employees kind of starting to crowd around them while Caitlin was giving demos.

Yeah.

Um.

And Caitlin kind of hinted that maybe we could do some working together in the future, like.

All of their engineers, apparently, were just like, super fucking hyped about it.

Yeah.

Like, all those guys, they, they all want future tech.

Yeah. And

And it's like, why?

Yeah.

These companies exist. Um.

It's, it's not right now.

Um, it would be like a revisit in 2026.

Yeah.

Discussion about glasses weight and prescription lens formats.

Um.

Yeah.

38 grams is pretty good, right?

Yeah.

Pretty before prescription.

Yeah.

This is yeah.

Before prescription, the only way we'd use it for prescription is with clip-ons.

Uh.

So keep in mind, the we

Uh, so keep in mind, the weight isn't just like—you know, with the G1s, you go from 38 to 42 with restriction, but there's no clip-ons. The prescription lenses are just like glued in.

But then you add the clip-on, so you'll go from 38 to 42 to 44 to 45 to 46, maybe.

Mm-hmm.

And a lot of that is right above the nose.

Mm

So it's not great, it's not perfect.

On the way, and also the ergonomics of those glasses, just like aren't very amazing.

Yeah.

But. You

You have a lot of companies.

Multiple companies selling those glasses.

Yeah.

And also better balance with continuing to make more glass

The gospel continues to be more blessed than it is. I th

Nov 3, 2025, 1:47 AM (3 min)
Discussion about integration issues for smart glasses and firmware development.

So what would you say.

A best

a best way to pick a glass to support them?

Well, the best way to pick glasses is to support is to look at, like, what do we think will actually.

Get adopted and what do we think will wear all day because people get, like, those are the best glasses out there. Those are the glasses we can recommend.

But it's an OS we have to.

I think we have to expand a little bit beyond that. Like, I think it would be very much in our interests to support the meta balance reference designs. Not only just because they're gonna sell a bunch of random startups and we can just hijack those people's glasses and get those, uh, buyers into Metro OS that way.

Right.

But also because, um, companies will go to these OEMs.

And they'll just kind of pick the OS off the shelf.

Mm-hmm.

Like, this is this is a thing that happens.

Okay. I see.

But you, you are a, a consumer-facing brand. You wanna sell smart glasses. You should go to an OEM. The OEM tells you, "Okay. Here are my glasses. They run Metro OS." And you say, "Okay. Cool."

I will buy and resell. Maybe customize the look a little bit.

Mm-hmm.

You know?

Um.

So it isn't our interest. I mean, the problem is just, like.

We don't have the biggest software team in the world, and.

It takes our current setup.

The onus is on us to.

Do the integration.

Mm-hmm.

You know? Like, we have to write smart glasses, communicate.

Versus with Android, it's not like Google is doing the work for every little device. It's the device maker.

Yeah.

It's, it's on them to, uh, modify what they need to modify to get Android on their device.

Um.

So we will reach this point when we.

Have a full-fledged working next, I'm assuming, right?

I would say even before we have a working next.

Okay.

Okay. I think the firmware will be mostly ready before we have a working next.

Yeah.

Fortunately, it would actually be.

Simpler.

Firmware.

Uh.

It goes back and forth. Firmware is kind of awkward because.

You're very, very close to the hardware. So it's not like an Android thing where you could just drop the code in and it'll work. Like, it would need some modification.

But with the meta balance, we get off a little bit easier on one hand because.

I don't think it actually has any.

Hardware that the next doesn't have. It might have speakers.

But that's it.

Mm-hmm.

That would be the only issue with this.

The Earth 38 grams.

Discussion about Lenovo's China-exclusive products, the global market strategies, and the challenges in product compatibility.
Speakers: Speaker 1, Speaker 2

Um.

I mean, like, a big brand is essentially white labeling these, right?

Um.

I'm sorry, a big brand is buying.

These glasses.

These glasses?

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

That would be weird. I'm not sure why they're doing that.

Well, who has done this before? Like.

I'm not sure if you know, but Lenovo.

Has a bunch of Chinese products that are only exclusive to China.

Mm-hmm.

But not in the US. Only, like, the premium pro like, the pre we're talking about, like, premium laptops.

Yeah.

The, uh, the known brands of Lenovo are only available in the US market, or the most American market.

But if you go to AliExpress, holy shit, bro. You search Lenovo phone, and they have a bunch of versions of Lenovo phone. Here, you cannot find any of them.

Really?

Yeah. And, like, they, they come with a global ROM.

Chinese ROM, all that shit. The Chinese ROMs are obviously cheaper.

Um, for some reason, like, by 50 bucks.

Yeah.

Um, the reason I know this is because.

I bought my Xiaomi from AliExpress.

Yeah.

Um, so I had to do a bunch of research.

Yeah.

Um, yeah, but they have, like.

A huge tablets.

Like, you know, like, iPad quality tablets that.

Mm-hmm.

Only available in China.

Or they're probably available here, but most likely not the, uh.

Not this. So, there's, there's, uh, there's a brand called Xiaoxin.

Called what? Hmm?

Xiaoxin.

Yeah.

Xiaoxin, something like that. Xiaoxin.

And that's, that's owned by Lenovo. And they make, like, good quality Chinese tablets.

Um.

You can only buy them in, uh, China.

Or AliExpress.

Um, here you can't. You just have to buy from AliExpress.

Yeah.

Um.

So I'm not surprised, really.

They have headphones. Like, you ha have you heard of, uh, like, a Lenovo headphone? Like, an earbud?

That.

Um.

Have so much of. Same thing with Xiaomi.

Like, all the premium stuff is available on Amazon, possibly.

Yeah.

But, like, the.

I guess, I don't know, their.

Testing products or, you know, the new, the newest.

Line of their product is most likely available in China only.

Yeah.

Okay.

Yeah.

Well.

Yeah.

They shouldn't think that.

There's all these glasses that we think are kind of, like.

Kind of crap. I think they're not great. We don't wanna recommend them to people, but it's an OS we need to be compatible with a lot of them.

The problem.

With how we are handling compatibility right now is it requires a lot of manual effort and upkeep on our part.

Discussion about the possibility of Metro OS becoming the default system for smart glasses, challenges with their design, and the creation of firmware.
Speakers: Keith, Unnamed participant(s)

I want you to turn off this, and.

Keith and I, we, we both can turn off this extension.

It's fucking hilarious. Like, it just showed, like, there's no secrets in the extension. It's fucking ridiculous.

Yeah.

As we were walking out, they're like, "Hi, wait a second. Let us put on these glasses on you. They're very secret. We will not tell you anything about them." And we go, "Okay." And, and what they revealed was that they wanted, they wanted white people to wear these glasses.

Mm-hmm. That

they had. 'Cause, like, the facial structures are different. M

m-hmm.

Like, they were just, like, really excited to have, like, a white smart glasses people in their office so that they could take pictures of us wearing these smart glasses.

Yeah.

They're like, "We will not tell you anything about them." So I'm like, "Okay."

"Who are you making these for?" They're like, "We cannot tell you." And I'm like, "Yeah, okay, but, like, seriously, I, I, I just wanna know. I'm curious. Who are you making these for?" And they're like, "Motorola."

Oh, shit.

Yeah.

Motorola.

Moto, moto.

Motorola.

Which is funny.

Um.

So, uh, have we, do they have, like, an open SDK? Because this would be, this could be huge, in my opinion.

They don't exactly have an open SDK.

But the company meta balance has, um, given us interest. Like, they want to run Metro OS on their reference design.

Mm-hmm. So

that when they're selling them off to clients.

Mm-hmm. They

can just s.

Have an operating system already loaded on there.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Now, what we need to happen is we would need to give them a firmware. We don't have the firmware. We're building that firmware.

I see.

Right now.

Mm-hmm.

Um, and Katie and I need to go back and forth a little bit on it. Like, on one hand, they're not great smart glasses. They're really not great smart glasses.

Like, they're you, you aren't. They're hard. They're plastic.

Yeah. They

feel cheap.

Very hollow.

Hmm?

Very hollow.

Very hollow.

Yeah. They, they just feel like this engine is special.

Mm-hmm. You

know?

But.

There's multiple startups buying these.

Yeah.

There's multiple startups buying these, and.

Well, it could be kind of crazy to be able to just kind of, like, hijack.

Halo, and Captify, and.

I mean, yeah. I mean, so, like.

Like, we need to be.

The default, right?

Yeah.

For these glasses?

Yeah.

Oh, shit, really?

Yep.

Okay.

It's the same glasses that Halo got on SO7 as well.

Interesting.

Has that shit a sensor too as well?

It has what?

The shitty sensor, the, um.

What, uh, brilliant labs that Halos are using, the cameras?

I don't think it has a camera.

It has a hole in front of it. Maybe that's a microphone?

Probably a microphone, meta balance don't have cameras.

Unless they customized it to add a camera.

That.

Is.

Very.

Placed.

Like, I don't know.

I'm assuming here, but.

This is what the Halos also look like as well.

I believe that's a mic.

That's a mic.

Probably.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah.

So you've already seen these?

Uh, yeah.

Yeah.

Okay.

Um.

Discussion about preferences pertaining to sizes of objects, possibly wands.

I remember holding a wand and thinking that it felt so dorky to hold it like a magic wand, so I'm holding it like a gun.

I prefer small ones.

Not like micro.

I prefer small ones.

Not like micro ones.

But small ones.

I'm no size queen.

I like them small.

The big ones always make me feel like I have to pee.

I made fun of my buddy for having a small one, but then he let me hold it and now my low-key want a small one too.

I've never had one at all, but if I did.

It would be a small one.

But I'm drunk, I want a big one, but only when I'm drunk.

My husband's really into big ones, kind of weirds me out.

So I just sit in a chair and watch him and his buddies just go to town.

Meanwhile, I'm just over here enjoying a small one.

Now we have small ones.

But don't worry, we still have big ones.

I prefer small ones.

Not like micro ones.

But small ones.

I'm no size queen.

I like them small.

The big ones always make me feel.

Discussion of a new voice feature and updating firmware for a device.
Speakers: Speaker 1, Bran

Um, by the way, that new voice that you got on your Mitch Live, uh, is it on the latest dead?

Bran

I do indeed.

Well, talk about the ASG.

Rank.

Yeah, it's built into the firmware. It's not part of the ASG client.

So how do you activate it?

Um.

What do you mean? How do you, like, you just turn it on and off?

How, how do I get these dimensional lives to have those sounds?

Um, remind me tomorrow, I'll update the firmware on dimensional life.

Okay. How do you do that, though?

Um, that's why I have that Windows laptop.

Ah.

This is some, like, goofball program.

Okay. Yeah, I'm gonna, I'm gonna go.

I'll look at it.

Well, back up. Yeah.

One other thing I wanted to mention. Have you had a chance to go through? I know you skimmed through it, but did you fully look at it? The updated one here.

No, I haven't gotten a chance yet. I went through it a little bit, and then I ran out of time, and then I didn't get to look at it.

Yes.

Okay, this is fucking crap.

Oh, yeah.

Je vais

I will try this.

Yeah, so yeah, leave this one

Echo issues.

I guess this one you need to try the new firmware.

Yeah.

So okay, regarding just since we're still in this sound thing, so this sounds we're not going to get anytime soon, right?

I told Arian to—Arian's real busy.

I think he's the only other little guy for the sound stuff.

I think he can make these sounds. I think he can get them done in a few hours since I think we can just remix some of our existing sound effects for these. But

We'll try to have them by the end of the week.

But he's pretty jam-packed.

What are you want me to do?

I'll tell you later.

Okay.

Okay. Anything else here? Here we teach speaker quality and the echo. You're going to still work with that?

Is it?

We brought the HX. Sorry.

He's still working on it.

Yes.

So for the echo, so what's happened is that

The problem is only when you

The speaker itself.

There's no problem.

So he needs—it could be it's like 70% is firmware. It's a firmware issue, but it could also be like a hardware issue.

That needs to talk to the consumer.

What was it that didn't speak? It was the MP4.

Check it. You just check it.

Yeah, it was on the disk. So he didn't listen to me. I'm just doing it to—sorry. Totally different.

That's it.

Yeah.

Now

这个

我们需要就是非常需要

Okay. So the speaker quality is worse? That's hardware issue. Maybe it's working on that. It's a bit busy, but we'll try to push it to get it done.

And what do you mean it's busy?

It's working sometimes.

Okay.

We're going to need you to push it pretty hard.

We've got one here.

Yeah.

If you need to, take a stick

I will.

Start swinging the stick.

I pushed you a lot on the DAV. Oh, he said for VAD, there's already progress. It should be good, but sometimes there's a lot.

What do you mean for VAD?

VAD, VAD.

Okay. So try out. So he already made some improvements to the VAD.

So try that out.

Yeah, I think so. I sent all of

Oh, quick thing before he sends it.

So for the I2S audio playback, I've been running into an issue. I think

Yeah, you have the I2S audio thing where we're trying to play the camera sounds and the MTK.

I think I'm running into some issues there. Maybe we'll play sounds.

But they get disrupted if I... So I think trigger a sound by pressing the picture button. But if I press it again, it will never play it again.

For some reason, I think what's going on here is there's some weird conflict going on between the sounds that the BES is playing and the sounds that I'm trying to play through the MTK.

So you're saying... So are you right now, you're just trying to play the picture thing?

Yeah.

Discussion about streaming directly from glasses to server, misconceptions about the process, and app integration issues.

So did you join the meetings with them? So one thing was also— I don't think it was clear to them because we were asking them to improve the stream, right?

And I don't think it was clear to them that we streaming directly from the glasses, to the server. They thought that the stream goes from the glasses to the phone, and then to the server. Because they were saying we could add an algorithm or something, but it could only be added to the phone. But obviously, that is not going to work for the stream. We don't go through.

Yeah.

But not on the phone, because I was—

No, I wouldn't be the phone would be in the cloud.

Sorry?

I wouldn't be on the phone; it would be in the cloud.

Yeah. So that's what they— what they're saying now is that

Basically, they're saying we could add an algorithm to the phone, but it's not going to go through the phone.

So I guess we— yeah. So

But we should just talk to them that the stream doesn't go through the phone.

Yeah. How can I— are you able to communicate with that with them? I tell that to SmartXY, who I tell this to.

Sorry?

Can you hear me?

Yeah.

You keep cutting out a little bit.

Yeah. Sorry for making you wait here.

We only have to tell this to—

I mean, just— I don't know who's the person, but I mean, I told them if there is— I told them that. I told them the stream doesn't go through the cloud. There's a go through the phone, but I mean, it should just— it should be clear to them.

And the problem with that is that if they don't use the app, and right now they're changing drivers, and then also our apps— our app also changes drivers, right? Then you have kind of two

Yeah. We could do that. What if it's faster than them?

Let them continue doing this, how they're doing this, and then have them give us the

APP code.

That they're doing.

When that makes sense. If they give us the APP code, if they give us the code to use to take photos, then we should be able to just manually take that.

So how they currently do it, they just— they're learning how to interact with the video themselves. They're not making any changes for just an internet and the apps.

The plan is that as soon as they're done, they're just going to fix the app and they're going to integrate it into the phone.

Okay.

No, I'm asking what do they do right now to change the drivers? Do they change— do they just have an internet or what is it?

I can't even really know.

I think they did some changes to the phone part. Well, I think. Maybe we would know better.

But I don't really think that'll be as good.

The team discusses Robert's performance on his first shift, the challenges with the Z team, and how to improve the Phoenix program.
Speakers: Robert, Chase

We're here to assess Robert's first shift, and aside from whatever happened here, I thought it was pretty good.

What? Told you, Robbie.

I was watching on the monitor, the work you did dispatching, I don't think the Z team has ever had a better shift than that.

You just might need to confront the fact that it might be the best they can do, especially the way the grainy pavement.

Yeah, now the grainy situation that wasn't ideal, but I've seen so much worse even years ago.

Let's be real, she ain't gonna make it.

She's difficult to work with, sure, but I see a lot of promise in her, really.

Even the other Z teamers respect her.

They're afraid of her, but her got away, how is that an acceptable outcome? That shit happens.

Look, Robert, you should be proud, the bar is very low with this group.

Well, it's not low for me, look, I like to make the joke and keep things light as much as the next person, but when it comes to work I'm not fucking around here, if you want the Phoenix program to survive the bar needs to go up.

And how would we do that?

By treating the Z team like what they are, a bunch of idiots, and leading a super building team takes a different approach than a superhero team, I need to be around them I need them to see I'm all in and they need to match that energy.

Some tough love, the only kind I know, and based on what I've seen the only version of responsive I'm not saying everyone will make it, but no, I'm not saying anyone's spicy it will, but who it does I also need you to trust me to handle it, I don't want you stepping into anybody's spectacle even if I don't have to.

Okay, open the doorway.

One day you will make my room and introduce them to their new super building lover.

I can't promise no room, the only promise that I'll be honest that no fucking way to the door but it'll be waiting for an alarm.

Discussion about the controversy over President Zelensky's attire at the NATO conference and the control of vote outcomes on Polymarket by a group of whales.

People are losing their absolute minds on whether or not this is a suit. This is Ukraine's President Zelensky on Polymarket. There was over 160 million dollars waged on whether he would wear a suit or not before July. Well, on June 24 at the NATO conference, he wore this outfit. Looks a heck of a lot like a suit to me, and yet the New York Post, Washington Times, Reuters—you name it—calling it a suit, Polymarket said otherwise. So the initial outcome was yes. However, Polymarket's protocol, which is a group of validators called UMA, disputed and said that it was not a suit, and they have the final say. Now, the problem is this UMA protocol is controlled by a group of whales who have more votes than other people. So they basically control the complete outcome on whether or not this is a suit or not. Now, this guy on X has been tweeting his head off about how this group of whales has been controlling this vote. He even made a whole graph; you can see above. He's obviously pissed. Don't get me wrong, there's a lot of money on the line, so both sides are incentivized to say whether it's a suit or not.

You know, I can't believe I sticked this in movies. They stick this in movies. Look at this. Uh-uh. No. Ain't no way. Ain't no.

That stands for rest and relaxation.

Hmm? Oh, yeah. That would have been cool.

Oh, no. Yeah. This, this is better because you can see it. And it, it looks like there's a couple up there already, so.

I really appreciate you coming to my rescue back there. I still think I could have handled it, but. All I'm trying to say is thanks.

I should have just said that, but.

Yeah. I'm still talking.

Don't you worry about it, Robert Robertson.

How do you know my name?

Oops.

What's going on?

Okay. I'll tell you. But only after y

But only after you tell me how you ended up with a name like that.

Oh, you mean a name like Robert Robertson III?

The third three times this happened?

There was Grandpa Bobby, then my dad, who I call Dad, but everyone else called Robby, and then me.

Robert.

Because I wanted to be taken seriously.

Mm. Family tradition.

And more ways than one.

Gramps was the first Meccan man, and he died in the zoo before I was born.

Dad was killed fighting Shroud. That's when I took over.

There was a little inheritance, and the life insurance money.

I'm so sorry.

I didn't realize.

Just your run-of-the-mill sad superhero origin story.

The family tradition. If there is one.

Is dying without a suit.

Which I guess I don't have to worry about anymore.

What is it?

I'm not quite drunk enough to share my origin story just yet.

But you remind me to tell you someday.

Definitely.

A statement about the resilience and adaptability of Marines.

The toughness isn't born in comfort. It thrives in the unknown. Marines are made for this.

I actually thought you were taking us to sit on it.

Two people discuss an awkward encounter at a bar and plan to go elsewhere.

Hey.

I couldn't find you.

Uh, it's cool. I was just admiring the art on this dumpster.

Can't tell why anyone would put those words together.

Why are you holding drinks?

Nightcap?

You're in trouble.

Actually, according to the bartender, that's exactly what you are.

What happened in there?

I walk out and the bartender's pissed.

Whole energy is awkward.

And why did it smell like burnt hair?

Oh, my glass slipped and I made a little mess.

Just a little mess?

Yeah.

Does that not sound convincing enough?

Hold these. I know a place.

You stung.

It's a little out there. Easier if we fly.

Two people discuss financial ruin caused by a superhero lifestyle and hint at a possible proposition over drinks.

So, how did you afford all that? You must have spent hundreds of thousands of.

Millions.

So you'll understand when the check comes.

You're serious?

Millions.

Yeah, I basically burned for my entire inheritance keeping it going.

The last couple of years have just been duct tape and cheer.

Termination.

Ugh. Wh

Why did you do it?

Do what?

Sacrifice everything to be a superhero to the point of financial.

Ruin.

I was gonna say hardship, but ruin was the first word that came to mind, yeah.

You must be completely broke at this point.

I don't know.

I guess I just like helping people.

So, are you drunk yet or what?

Uh, yeah, yeah. I should probably switch into water.

Good, because I was hoping after some drinks to loosen you up, I could learn a little more about you and, uh, if all that went well, present you with a proposition.

A proposition?

Yeah. I'm just trying to figure out if this is a fit or not, you know? Then it's just a matter of picking the right moment.

Well, I have to say, Blazer, that does sound intriguing.

That's actually.

You.

Not water.

No, this is like pure alcohol.

It's not like alcohol. It is alcohol. I know because you spit it directly into my open mouth.

That's water.

That see how it has ice in it?

You drink hard liquor from a pint glass?

Actually, I usually just drink it straight from the bottle, but I thought that would be embarrassing.

I'm gonna go clean up.

I'm so sorry.

No, it's fine. I will be right back.

Hey.

Talking to you, bitch.

All right, just so you know, I only turned around because someone yelled, not because I'm a bitch or anything.

Don't you watch the news? This is a superhero bar.

Oh, wow. Are you a superhero?

That's so cool.

Is this your power? You're like, tell people obvious shit guy?

Well, you're really going to have to eat all the lamb on me.

Wait, it's coming back to me. Hold on. Yeah, it's coming back to me.

Oh, wait.

You were Dr. Don't Do Shit. Your deal is you walk up to people, look threatening, talk a big game, then don't do shit about it.

Also, you're not a real doctor because you're a fucking idiot.

Shit.

That is damn.

Sorry. I choked on my spit.

Oh, my little bitch.

I control the fire.

The fire?

And the flame.

In my skin.

Oh, you're joking.

It's fine. Don't worry about keeping up. Something to do at the power, is it? It takes a lot for me to feel anything.

What is that sentence?

Hey, you should give yourself more credit. To do what you did for as long as you did, especially without superpowers.

Speakers: Charles Kingsley

So, Shroud, kills your father, goes to jail 15 years, breaks out, and immediately dudes you into a trap where he destroys the mecha man suit and puts you in a coma for months.

I didn't hear a question there.

Two-part.

First, why didn't Shroud kill you?

You haven't been conscious for months. It'd be easy money taking you out.

Okay, Shroud wanted the astral pulse and mecha man gone. He got both.

I'm not sure I mattered much.

Right, you're unimportant. Which leads me to my next question. Most heroes avenge their family. You did the opposite.

You killed their legacy.

Your father.

Your grandfather.

They must be rolling over in their graves.

I think he'd be proud.

Because I'm alive.

Which, as you so sensitively pointed out, he isn't. I think he knows that I sacrificed everything and that I did my best. Being mecha man, protecting my community, was the greatest honor I'll ever have. Now I have to live knowing that.

Thank you for coming.

I'll connect.

Is mecha man a mecha quitter?

Yeah, I mean, it seemed like he'd be better if he died than be a mecha coward, you know?

What kind of example is he setting?

Announcement of Mecha-Man stepping back from superhero work due to irreparable suit damage.

It was just over four months ago that images like this were recorded across the Southlands, videos flooded social media and our newsroom showing what many thought to be the death of Mechaman.

For nearly fifty years

Own as an astronaut, teamed up with a star-studded superhero group known as the Brave Brigade, leading to an unprecedented period of peace in the Southwest. After years of loyal service, tragedy struck again when Shroud, a former Brave Brigade member turned villain, killed the pilot Mecha-Man named Coldblood.

But yet again, as hope was lost, a third generation of Mecha-Man emerged, a Mecha-Man for the modern era. A bulwark against organized crime in the Greater Los Angeles area, until today.

I spent a lot of speculation about my health and the state of the mecha man suit, and I'm here to put that speculation to rest. The suit has been damaged beyond my ability to repair, so I will be stepping back from superhero work. Effective immediately.

A personal account of life in the West Bank amid the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, highlighting the ongoing difficulties despite a ceasefire.

Here's your daily reminder that just because there's a ceasefire doesn't mean Israel's occupation of Palestine is over. Daily life in the West Bank still means going on a quick errand can get you stuck in the middle of a military raid. Debating whether or not you're going to have to sleep in the shop and if opening the door to take a video will get you shot.

And all the while your cousin is worried about her car, so you go out, basically at gunpoint, to try and save it. Which we managed to do, but ended up in an even worse spot with the Israeli military on both sides of us. Some people nearby made us tea while we watched the drones circling the air. Sound bombs going off.

And then a whole lot of tear gas.

At which point we ran into their house, but their windows were open, so the entire house was full of gas and we could barely breathe.

And then eventually the soldiers left, and we went home like nothing happened because Israel has normalized its occupation and violence.

Here's your daily reminder that just because there's a ceasefire doesn't mean Israel's occupation of Palestine is over.

Discussion about the difficulties in recruiting genuine technical candidates amid a flood of unqualified applicants.

So many shitty candidates, dude. I'll reject 99% of applicants, and then the couple bangers get the job. So, like, don't ever be scared away by that, but do, to your point, like, they're not looking at it.

But, but how.

And they're not technical, and they're not engineers. It's just, like, slop from the human side.

Yeah, I know. It's like, that's what I called it before. I called it, like, slop or clog. It's like all this artificial clog of all these people saying they're AI machine learning engineers. They don't know how to define a list or what a tuple is. Like, how is Susie from HR even possibly going to filter through that? And that also makes it harder for, like, legit candidates to break through. Because you have all these guys, you have all these guys, artificially lying about what they do. And then, like, when you ask them in an actual interview, I can spend 15 minutes with them, and I know that these people don't know Jack.

So many shitty candidates, dude. I'll reject 99%.
